Job Purpose

Responsible to enable predictable, healthy agile delivery within the assigned squad. Facilitates ceremonies, removes impediments, and coaches the squad on Scrum and Kanban practices so that commitments are met with sustainable quality. Ensures the squad’s delivery signals (velocity, predictability, flow) are visible to leadership and that continuous improvement is operationalized sprint by sprint.

Key Result Responsibilities

Squad Facilitation

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives for the squad.
• Protect the squad’s focus during the sprint and manage unplanned work intake with the Product Owner.
• Maintain transparent boards, burn-up/burn-down visibility, and squad-level metrics.

Impediment Removal

• Identify and remove impediments blocking the squad, escalating quickly when resolution is outside squad scope.
• Track blockers, dependencies, and risks in Jira and surface them to leadership in a timely manner.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies with peer Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, and Product Owners.

Coaching & Agile Practices

• Coach the squad on Scrum, Kanban, and agile engineering practices (pairing, CI/CD, DoD, DoR).
• Help the Product Owner keep the backlog healthy, well-sized, and prioritized.
• Drive continuous improvement actions from retrospectives and track them to closure.

Metrics & Reporting

• Report squad health, delivery predictability, throughput, and risk to engineering leadership.
• Contribute squad data to program-level DORA metrics (lead time, deploy frequency, MTTR, change fail rate).

Quality & Release Support

• Facilitate release readiness and post-release retrospectives with the squad.
• Support incident follow-through for squad-owned services.

People Management

• Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development.  
• Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.   
• Ensure people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. 
• Strong working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Good understanding of software delivery practices (CI/CD, branching, release processes).
• Familiar with DORA metrics and delivery health indicators.
• Fluent in English Language.
• Skilled facilitator able to run focused, outcome-driven ceremonies.
• Strong coaching and servant-leadership mindset.
• Effective conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable with data, metrics, and trend analysis.
• Demonstrates consistent delivery of squad improvements and agile health.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Work Experience

• With 6-8 years of experience facilitating agile delivery with Scrum or Kanban.
• CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and agile reporting tools.
