Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing day to day logistics operations related to aircraft spares, tools, and materials, ensuring timely movement, regulatory compliance, cost control, managing the subordinates, and uninterrupted support to Air Arabia’s engineering and operational requirements—monitoring 24/7 – 365 Days including AOG and time critical shipments.
Key Result Responsibilities
Operational & Executional
Supervise end to end logistics activities including imports, exports, cross trades, charters, courier movement, transshipments, and local deliveries of aircraft parts and consumables.
Coordinate AOG movements, ensuring fastest possible routing, documentation readiness, and customs clearance.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or exceptions.
Monitor vendor KPIs
Ensure accurate weight, dimension, packaging, and labelling of all shipments.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with:
o GCAA / IATA / ICAO regulations
o Customs regulations (UAE & international)
o Dangerous Goods (IATA DGR) requirements, including coordination for DG shipments.
Verify accuracy of all logistics documentation including:
o Air Waybills (AWB)
o Commercial Invoices
o Packing Lists
o Export Declarations
o Permits (MOFAIC, TDRA, SABER, etc., where applicable)
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with freight forwarders, airlines, couriers, customs brokers, and all other external stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders: Engineering, Stores, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
Escalate critical issues with recommendations and corrective actions.

Cost & Performance Control
Track logistics costs and support freight optimization initiatives.
Validate freight invoices against quotes and services delivered.
Support KPI monitoring such as:
o Response time
o Shipment TAT
o Cost variance
o Compliance deviations
People & Process Management
Supervise logistics support staffs.
Ensure adherence to SOPs and drive continuous improvement in logistics processes.
Support audits and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
People Management
Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development
Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.
Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, or related field.
- Professional certifications like IATA Cargo/DGR are an advantage.
- Possesses strong knowledge of aircraft parts logistics, with a solid understanding of Incoterms and customs procedures.
- Performs effectively under pressure, particularly in AOG and time-critical situations.
- Proficient in ERP and logistics systems, with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Exhibits strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Adopts a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of accountability and ownership.
- Collaborates effectively within teams while remaining operationally agile and cost-conscious.
- Maintains a safety- and compliance-driven approach in all operational activities.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Remains flexible to work shifts or provide on-call support for AOG requirements, with willingness to travel to airports, warehouses, or regional stations as needed.
Work Experience
- With 5–8 years of experience in aviation logistics / freight forwarding.
- Demonstrates strong hands-on experience in AOG shipments, customs clearance, dangerous goods (DG) cargo, and international freight operations.
