Job Purpose
Responsible for the product discovery lifecycle and its success, identifying potential products in the aviation domain and overseeing the development of product concepts in line with commercial objectives. Approves artefact roadmaps, including long- and short-term plans, budgets and pricing for product introduction, launch and promotion. Ensures the delivery of usable, emotionally engaging and inspiring products that meet user expectations.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Accountable for the success of delivery, owns the entire product backlog and delivery activities. This includes grooming development teams and responding to queries of the development team promptly.
- Guides the development team at each sprint and removes any roadblocks to enhance their performance. Ensures that products are delivered within the timelines agreed.
- Ensures stories are ready before the sprint start, matching definition of ready and having clear acceptance criteria.
- Manages and prioritizes the product backlog along with the Product Manager, which matches product vision and client needs.
- Liaises between business and development teams to deliver continuous value.
- Reviews visual designs developed by UX team.
Key Result Responsibilities-Continued
- Reviews test cases written by QA team.
Stays abreast with market trends and new technologies in the domain, researches and conducts comparative analysis with competitors to recommend best practices. - Monitors the development and product teams' performance and escalates any potential performance deviation to Product Managers.
- Represents ISA in clients' meetings and solicits feedback on products and services regularly.
People Management:
- Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development.
- Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.
- Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
- Certified Scrum Master, Professional Certified Product Owner (PSPO) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus.
- PMP and PRINCE II certifications are an added value.
- Strong technical background with a sound understanding of software development.
- Thorough understanding of UI/UX design.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to process large amounts of data and translate them into actionable information.
- Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack and JIRA.
- Fluent in English Language.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Work Experience
- With 12–15 years of relevant professional experience, with a proven track record in product management, product development, technical management or a related field.
- Subject matter expertise in technical management, technical solution design and architecture.
- Proven track record of successfully leading products throughout their lifecycle and driving effective decision-making.
- Hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing business performance reports.
- Experience managing financials, including budgets and cost estimates.
- Proven ability to execute new initiatives and achieve company objectives through technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience applying Agile Development and SCRUM methodologies.
- Expertise in market research and benchmarking, with the ability to identify and adopt best practices.
- Expertise in drafting policies and procedures and conducting feasibility studies.
