Job Purpose
Efficiently manage end-to-end travel for seafarers and offshore personnel, ensuring seamless operations, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and high service standards while supporting complex crew movements and enhancing overall customer experience.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end travel management for seafarers, including international/regional/domestic flights, accommodation, visas, and transit arrangements
- Handle complex crew rotations (sign-on/sign-off), including last-minute changes and emergency travel scenarios
- Act as a key point of contact for maritime/offshore clients, ensuring high service levels and proactive communication
- Leverage marine fares: sourcing them from Multi GDS PCC’s (Amadeus, Travelport, Sabre) of Vendors and Consolidators via either RTS or replication, corporate
- airline/interline agreements, and routing expertise to optimize costs
- Ensure compliance with global immigration, visa, and maritime travel regulations
- Proactively monitor disruptions (delays, cancellations, geopolitical restrictions) and provide swift solutions
- Collaborate with airlines, check-in agents, port agents, embassies, and internal stakeholders globally.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team capability building.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
Key Result Responsibilities - Continued
- Maintain accurate Airline documentation, reporting, and billing in line with company standards.
- Prepare Customer centric MIS reports that can be used for client reviews.
- Strong expertise in GDS PNR creation and management for marine/offshore travel, ensuring compliance with airline requirements and minimizing risks of denied boarding and ADM (Airline Debit Memo) exposure.
People Management:
- Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development.
- Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.
- Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of visa requirements, marine fares, and crew travel regulations.
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure, time-sensitive travel operations.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Flexibility to work in a high-pressure 24/7 operational environment.
- Fluent in English Language.
- Excellent problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Work Experience
- With 10+ years of overall experience including at least 2 years in a relevant specialized role and demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Holds an IATA certification or equivalent, with strong geographical knowledge and global route awareness.
- Prior experience working with an offshore or travel company is preferred.
- Experience working with shipping companies, offshore operators, or marine travel agencies.
- Exposure to global markets (Middle East, Asia, Europe Ship crew/Rig movement)
- Hands-on experience with GDS systems incl., smart buying from multi GDS / Vendors (Amadeus, Sabre & Galileo).
