Job Purpose

To ensure the quality, reliability, and operational readiness of enterprise applications, APIs, and platform services by implementing quality assurance best practices, test automation, and comprehensive validation processes. Responsible for supporting the delivery of stable, secure, and high-performing software solutions through close collaboration with Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of enterprise applications.
  • Validate RESTful and SOAP APIs, microservices, and enterprise system integrations to ensure functional accuracy, performance, and data integrity.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing to validate application performance and business requirements.
  • Verify application behavior, business workflows, database transactions, and data integrity to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Integrate and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring test execution results gate releases before deployment.
  • Participate in release validation and defect triage, and support SRE-led production issue investigations by providing test data, reproduction steps, and quality analysis.

Key Result Responsibilities-Continued

  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, reliability, and operational readiness throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain test data sets and test environments, ensuring they accurately reflect production conditions for reliable test outcomes.
  • Track, document, and report test coverage, defect trends, and quality metrics to support data-driven release decisions.
  • Perform load and performance testing on applications and APIs to validate system behavior under expected and peak traffic conditions.
  • Review requirements and design documentation early in the development lifecycle to identify testability gaps and quality risks before implementation begins.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/Information Technology. 
  • Fluent in English Language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog, used to troubleshoot test failures and validate application behavior in test environments.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments sufficient to execute and validate tests within cloud-native application architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, applied to designing tests that validate reliability, resilience, and operational readiness.
  • Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot applications, and microservices architecture sufficient to design effective test cases and interpret application behavior.
  • Strong understanding of API authentication mechanisms, payload validation, integration testing, and service reliability.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL with experience validating databases, data integrity, and backend transactions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Work Experience

  • With 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, - Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
  • Proven experience in API testing, UI automation, and software quality assurance within enterprise application environments.
  • Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SOAP UI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) using Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience performing functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing across enterprise applications.
