Job Purpose

Responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for Air Arabia Dammam, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods and services to support business and operational requirements. Coordinates with the Air Arabia Central Procurement team on category-specific sourcing strategies while managing local supplier relationships within KSA, competitive tendering, negotiations, contracts, inventory, and delivery performance. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and corporate governance while optimizing cost, quality, service, and commercial value through effective stakeholder collaboration, supplier management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect spend categories to optimize cost, value, and budget performance while ensuring timely support for Air Arabia Dammam’s business and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Category Specialists and the Centralized Procurement team for requirements related to HOTAC, Ground Operations, IT, Insurance, In-flight Consumables, Uniforms, Logistics, Item Master, and other system-related requirements, as applicable.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, advisors, suppliers, and external partners to develop and execute sourcing strategies and procurement initiatives aligned with business and operational objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement and competitive tendering processes for Air Arabia Dammam, ensuring the compliant and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while meeting required quality, service, and delivery standards.
  • Monitor business requirements, supplier markets, industry trends, and procurement best practices to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities, mitigate supply risks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, commercial governance requirements, best practices, and standardized sourcing processes across Air Arabia Dammam.
  • Manage supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, supplier performance, and the end-to-end contract lifecycle to ensure contractual compliance, effective contract administration, service continuity, and value realization.
  • Ensure procurement transactions are processed through Oracle Fusion in accordance with established procurement controls, including the three-way matching principle.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the safe and secure storage of recurring items, maintaining appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels to support operational requirements and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Prepare and provide procurement MIS and periodic status reports, ensuring relevant internal stakeholders are kept informed of sourcing activities, procurement progress, key risks, and pending actions.
  • Expedite the delivery of materials, goods, and services by coordinating with suppliers and relevant stakeholders to ensure agreed timelines are met and operational requirements are not impacted.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential. Excellent business writing and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced level).
  • Fluent in English Language (Arabic is a plus).
  • Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: and Category Management)
  • Sourcing and supplier management process skills 
  • Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending cost-effective solutions with focus on legal aspects.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of procurement experience in indirect or IT/technical procurement within a reputable, fast-paced organization.
  • Hands-on experience of Procurement software such as Oracle fusion, etc.
  • Experience in e-commerce or digital business environments is an advantage.
  • Experienced in initiating, drafting, & managing contracts of technical nature.
