Job Purpose

Responsible to design, build, and maintain automated tests that verify ISA’s Reservation System, Flight Operations, Cargo, and supporting services meet functional and non-functional quality standards. Contributes to shift-left quality practices and CI/CD quality gates within the assigned squad, ensuring defects are found early and releases reach production with predictable reliability.

Key Result Responsibilities

Test Automation Delivery

• Design and author automated test scripts across UI, API, and data layers for features owned by the assigned squad.
• Maintain and extend existing automation suites, keeping them reliable and aligned with framework standards.
• Triage automation failures, distinguish real defects from flakiness, and drive corrective actions.

Quality Gates & CI/CD

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure they run on every pull request and release candidate.
• Contribute to quality gate criteria and exit-check execution for the squad’s releases.
• Surface automation results, defect signals, and coverage gaps in squad ceremonies.

Collaboration & Shift-Left

• Pair with developers on component testing and test data strategy from sprint planning onwards.
• Partner with Product Owners to clarify acceptance criteria before work enters the sprint.
• Support release activities including smoke tests, production verification, and rollback readiness.

Test Assets & Data

• Maintain reusable test data, fixtures, and test environments supporting squad automation.
• Keep automation assets, documentation, and runbooks current for hand-offs and on-call coverage.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute improvement ideas to the framework, test tooling, and flake-reduction backlog.
• Participate in post-incident and post-release reviews with a focus on test coverage gaps.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 
• Proficient in one programming language used for automation (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Fluent in English Language.
• Able to analyze test failures and distinguish real defects from environmental issues.
• Exposure to version control (Git) and code review practices.
• Understands agile ceremonies and contributes effectively within a squad.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Demonstrates ownership of assigned work and follows through on commitments.

Work Experience

• With 2-4 years of hands-on experience building automated tests for web, API, or mobile applications. Exposure to CI/CD and agile delivery is preferred.
• Working knowledge of at least one automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent).
